Discounted project in development applications of all categories:

1) FEATURE GEMS — Fiction, documentary and animation feature films (min. 
runtime of 55 minutes) in early stages of development;

*FEST — Pitching Forum* returns with a new online edition, taking place 
*October 8 *— *9, 2021*. It will once again offer development awards and 
co-production opportunities.

Projects submitted until *June 21st* will benefit from the *Early Bird 
Period *(50€); from then on the *Regular Fee* (60€) will apply until its 
deadline *July 23rd.*

The selected finalists will have 5 minutes to pitch their work in 
progress to the international film industry decision-makers: producers, 
investors, fund managers, sales distributors and festival programmers in 
order to win awards, receive feedback and partake in one-to-one 
meetings. They will also have access to a three day training, headed by 
world-renowned project development experts, who will guide them on a way 
to preparing the perfect pitch.

Over 200 projects from all over the world have been presented at *FEST — 
Pitching Forum*, many of them finding partners and being later on 
presented at international festivals such as *Berlinale*. Past experts 
present during the event were renowned industry figures such as *Finola 
Dwyer* (producer for /Brooklyn/ and /An Education/), *Tim Corrie 
*(United Agents member, and BAFTA's ex-chairman), and *Gareth Wiley 
*(producer for /Match Point/ and /Vicky Cristina Barcelona/), among many 
others.

* 2 - Free Online Conference: The Future of Films*


*"FEST — ND | NF presents “THE FUTURE OF FILM”,* an online conference 
dedicated to the immediate future of film, which will take place 
*between 19^th – 23^rd of July, attendance is free of charge.*

Adaptation and change have been the name of the game for film these last 
couple of years – from the rise of streamers to the pandemic, both have 
forced producers, distributors and theatres to reinvent themselves and 
their business model to keep up with the times.

In the meantime, as old ways are on the verge of dying out, a number of 
new technologies have risen to the forefront – some are already 
expanding to the mainstream, such as*Virtual Production *technologies; 
others are still honing their potential applications for cinema, 
like*Blockchain* technology.

On this basis, *FEST’s “THE FUTURE OF FILM” online conference proposes 
to shine a light on these systemic changes* that are happening to the 
cinema industry. They will happen throughout 4 days, divided into two 
categories.

First, the *“FUTURE” conferences will be held 19^th and 20^th of July,* 
and will cover topics such as “The future of theatrical and independent 
cinema”, “Artificial Intelligence in Film”, “Virtual Production” and
