Als Partnerinstitution könnt ihr eure *Filme kostenlos einreichen*. 
Nutzt dazu die Einreichung über die FEST Website

Filme müssen nach dem 1.1.2021 fertiggestellt worden sein. Deadline ist 
6.März.

Außerdem hier ein heads up zum kommenden Semester: es wird eine 
Exkursion zum FEST nach Portugal geben. Weitere Infos demnächst im VLV.

for entries.

As members of a partner institution, you can *submit your films for 
free*. Use the submission via the FEST website 
https://site.fest.pt/en/submissions/submit-a-film/film-submissions/ and

4 Weeks left to submit films to FEST 2022

/DEADLINE 6th OF MARCH/

We’ve entered the final month of the film submission period for the 
upcoming 18^th edition of FEST – New Directors | New Films Festival.

We will be accepting films up until the *6^th of March 2022*. Time is 
quickly running out, so make sure you submit your work(s) in the coming 
weeks.

We are currently looking for:

• *1st and 2nd Features Films* (Fiction & Documentary)

• *Short Fiction, Documentary, Animation and Experimental Non-Narrative 
films* from directors up to the age of 35

You can submit films using one of several options:

  * *Regular Period - 6 Euros* (Short Films)

FEST 2022 will take place between the *20th and the 27th of June 2022*, 
in Espinho, Portugal.

*FEST New Directors | New Films Festival* is focused on creating a space 
for up-and-coming filmmakers to show and promote their work, to develop 
their skills, offering new opportunities, and the chance to develop new 
audiences for independent cinema.

The selection is divided into several competitive sections, each with a 
different focus:
*GOLDEN LYNX* – Fiction and Documentary Feature Film Competition
*SILVER LYNX* – Fiction, Documentary, Experimental and Animation Short 
Film Competition
*NEXXT* – Academic Short Film Competition
*FESTinha* – Feature and Short Film Competition for youth audiences.
*NATIONAL GRAND PRIX* - Portuguese Short Film Competition

*When and Where?*
The event will take place between *June 20th and June 27th 2022 in 
Espinho*, a beachside city and one of the summer hotspots of Portugal, 
15 minutes south of Porto along the sea coastline.

*FEST – New Directors | New Films Festival*

is one of the most important cultural events in Portugal, a great 
opportunity and excellent forum for Filmmakers to establish themselves 
in the industry.

Parallel to the Festival we also host:**

*FEST Industry Meetings* (for one on one meeting with Film Producers),

*FEST - Training Ground* (A high-level film training program),

*FEST - Director's Hub *(designed specifically to discuss the Director's 
role in the process)

*FEST - Pitching Forum*, that connects filmmakers with producers and 
financiers.

We are accepting films under the following formats:

A)*Fiction and Non-Fiction Feature Films* (min. length 55 minutes) from 
directors who are on their first or second feature-length project, 
regardless of age.

B) *Fiction, Documentary, Animation and Experimental Short Films* (up to 
54 minutes length) from directors up to the age of 35 (including) at the 
last day of production.

Submissions will only be considered complete and valid after the 
confirmation of the payment of a fee of 10 euros for Feature films and 6 
euros for Short films.
