We’re excited to announce that submission has opened for IxDA's
inaugural Interaction Awards, a first-of-its-kind awards program
dedicated to celebrating global excellence in our field. Any projects
completed within the past two years are eligible, and winners will be
celebrated in February 2012 at Interaction|12 in Dublin, Ireland.

*Show us your work*
The growing field of interaction design has a lot to celebrate. We
invite you to participate in this exciting awards program recognizing
outstanding works of interaction across platforms, domains and cultures.
To be a part of our inaugural year, submit your best endeavors in
production or concept projects from the last two years. Our esteemed
international jury will award up to 35 prizes for outstanding works that
embody and improve meaningful relationships between people and the
products and services they use, exemplifying excellence in interaction
design.

We’re honored to have Robert Fabricant, Vice President, Creative at Frog
Design, join us as the inaugural Jury Chair of the Interaction Awards.
Robert is joined by a panel of carefully-selected jurors, chosen for
their international experience and expertise in interaction design. The
six jury members for 2012 are: Massimo Banzi (Milan, Italy), Janna
DeVylder (Sydney, Australia), Matt Jones (London, UK), Younghee Jung
(Bangalore, India), Jonas Löwgren (Malmo, Sweden), and Helen Walters
(New York, USA). You can read more about them*here
<http://awards.ixda.org/jury/>**.*The jury will meet during National
Design Week in October 2011 to evaluate entries across the 6 categories,
based on the criteria of context, impact and craft.

The Interaction Awards will promote the important work emerging from our
global community of interaction designers, create a platform for
critical discussion, illustrate the value of interaction design in the
global economy, and provide inspiration for practitioners and businesses
worldwide. Be a part of this important conversation. Learn how to enter
your work here:*http://awards.ixda.org* <http://ixda.org/awards>

*Spread the word*
The Interaction Awards is a community initiative powered by volunteers.
We need your help to spread awareness and encourage participation across
the interaction design community and ensure that our diverse cultural
identities are represented. Please forward this email to friends and
colleagues, ask your favorite publications and blogs to announce the
awards, and ask your favorite designers to enter. Make your local voices
heard globally, across the international interaction design community.
