VERLÄNGERUNG: CALL FOR ENTRIES 52. Sehsüchte Internationales Studierendenfilmfestival
Ihr Lieben Filmschaffenden,
wir, das Sehsüchte-Team, sind wieder auf der Suche nach euren spannenden Filmen - bis zum 15.01.2023
Vom 19.04. bis zum 23.04.2023 findet zum 52. Mal das Internationale Studierendenfilmfestival Sehsüchte in Potsdam-Babelsberg statt, welches zu den größten Festivals für den Nachwuchsfilm in Europa gehört.
Dem internationalen Filmnachwuchs wird hier eine Plattform geboten, um seine Werke zu präsentieren und mit einem breiten Publikum sowie der Branche in Kontakt zu treten. Sehsüchte versteht sich als Ort der Begegnung und Vernetzung, als Event kultureller Vielfalt und Feier des Kinos, heute wie morgen.
Unsere Identität und unser Programm zeichnen sich durch innovative Filme, frische Impulse und neue Blickwinkel aus, die aktuelle soziale und ästhetische Diskurse widerspiegeln und verhandeln. Besonders in einer Zeit, die durch politische Krisen und gesellschaftliche Unsicherheit geprägt ist, wollen wir uns weiterentwickeln und gemeinsam mit euch zu NEUEN UFERN aufbrechen und weiterhin für eine kulturelle weltoffene Filmwelt sorgen und jungen Filmemacher:innen die Plattform bieten, sich mit ihrer Kunst Gehör zu verschaffen.
Wir rufen internationale Nachwuchsfilmemacher:innen dazu auf, ihre Filme für die folgenden WETTBEWERBSKATEGORIEN einzureichen:
* Spielfilm (alle Längen)
* Dokumentarfilm (alle Längen)
* Animationsfilm (alle Längen)
* Future: Kids (Filme für ein Publikum ab 0 Jahren / alle Längen)
* Future: Teens (Filme für ein Publikum ab 12 Jahren / alle Längen)
* Fokus Produktion¹ (besondere Produktionsleistung / alle Längen)
* 360° ² (ab 2 Min.)
¹ In der Sektion Fokus Produktion müssen zusätzlich zu der Einreichung Produktionsunterlagen (siehe Regularien) an fokusproduktion at sehsuechte.de mailto:fokusproduktion at sehsuechte.de gesendet werden.

Weiterhin suchen wir im Rahmen der Sektion Schreibsüchte:
* Deutschsprachige Drehbücher ab einer geplanten Mindestlaufzeit von 50 Minuten für den Preis Bestes Drehbuch.
* Unverfilmte deutschsprachige Film- oder TV-Stoffkonzepte bis max. 7 DIN A4-Seiten in Exposéform.
* Im Rahmen unserer Festivalveranstaltung Schreibsüchte wird ein Pitch!- Wettbewerb stattfinden. Das beste Film- oder TV-Stoffkonzept (Spiel- oder Dokumentarfilm, eine Serie oder ein Format), hat die Chance auf eine Auszeichnung als Bester Pitch.
* Einreichungen für beide Veranstaltungen, zusammen mit dem das über die Website zur Verfügung stehende Anmeldeformular https://sehsuechte.de/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/schreibsuechte_submission_form_2023.pdf bitte an schreibsuechte at sehsuechte.de mailto:schreibsuechte at sehsuechte.de, jeweils mit dem Hinweis „Drehbuch“ bzw. „Pitch“ im Betreff.
Für die Exhibition: Untitled suchen wir:
* Innovative Werke und Ausstellungsstücke, die moderne Technologien auf kreative Weise nutzen sowohl online als auch vor Ort. Dazu gehören zum Beispiel Themen wie VR, Projection Mapping und audiovisuelle Projektionen. Wir interessieren uns besonders für Digital Media Art und neue Formen des Erzählens.
Die Gewinner:innen werden von Fachjurys ausgewählt. Für die Gewinnerfilme gibt es hohe Geld- und Sachpreise (eine Ausnahme ist die Auszeichnung für den besten Genrefilm, der vom Publikum ausgewählt wird).

the Sehsüchte-Filmfestival awaits your films again!
The 52nd edition of the Sehsüchte International Student Film Festival, one of the biggest film festivals for young filmmakers in Europe, will take place between 19 and 23 April 2023.
International up-and-coming filmmakers are offered a platform here to present their works and come into contact with a broad audience as well as the industry. Sehsüchte sees itself as a place of encounter and networking, an event of cultural diversity and a celebration of cinema, today as well as tomorrow.
Our identity and program is characterized by innovative films, fresh impulses and new perspectives that reflect and negotiate current social and aesthetic discourses. Especially in a time marked by political crises and social insecurity, we want to evolve and set out together with you for NEW SHORES and continue to ensure a cultural, cosmopolitan film world and offer young filmmakers the platform to make themselves heard with their art.
We are calling on international aspiring filmmakers to submit their works for the following COMPETITION CATEGORIES:
* Feature Film (any length)
* Documentary Feature (any length)
* Animation (any length)
* Future: Kids (films for an audience aged 0 and over / any length)
* Future: Teens (films for an audience aged 12 and over / any length)
* Focus Production¹ (exceptional production / any length)
* 360° ² (min. 2 min)

For the section Schreibsüchte the following is accepted:
* German screenplays with a planned minimum runtime of 50 minutes for the prize Best Screenplay.
* Unproduced English or German Language film and TV concepts in exposé form up to max. 7 A4-size pages.
As part of the festival, there will be a Pitch! Competition during the festival where the best film or a television show concept (Feature or Documentary film, Series or Format) will be awarded Best Pitch.

in each case with the reference "Screenplay" or "Pitch" in the subject line.
For Exhibition: Untitled we are looking for:
* Innovative projects using modern technologies in a creative manner both online and offline. These could involve for example XR, artificial intelligence, projection mapping, sensor-based systems, audio-visual performances web-based experiences. The exhibition strives to present novel forms of storytelling and digital media art.
The winning films are chosen by our expert juries.The winners will receive high cash and non-cash prizes. (An exception is the Genre Award, which is chosen by the audience).
