Old and new students: Good luck with your studies!

Ariz Ahmadkhanli

HCI M.Sc.

Who am I?

I’m Ariz, an international master student in Weimar since 2023, and I
feel I’m slowly getting closer to the end of my studium. From the
beginning of my time in Weimar, I’ve been involved with the Student Body,
first with Bauhaus Internationals, then FsRM, then StuKo, and now I’m the
StuKo Speaker.

Why am I running?

I’m proud of the community work we have on campus, which makes studying
at Bauhaus really unique. But I still think we have some problems with
being heard and feeling fully welcomed. Sadly, it’s already the second
time I’m mentioning in my election campaign that the dormitory situation
for international students and their involvment in student life is still
not satisfactory. I’m trying to solve this together with my collegues in
StuKo.

With my friends, we already took the first step to create an International
Council, which hopefully will be the voice of international people on the
campus and make our community more welcoming. I just need one more
legislature to make this International Council really work and bring our
ideas to life.

If you had the choice, which cafeteria meal would you be and why?

I think I’ll be the soy gyros with rice and tzatziki.
It looks OK, sounds familiar and tastes mid, but gets the job done.
