Old and new students: Good luck with your studies!

Fine Art Education

Who am I?

I am in my 7th semester, studying Fine Arts and Art Education. I am now
preparing for my final exams.
I am interested in honesty in human relationships, language, handwriting,
lines, maps, bodies of water, gardens, …
What I am not interested in: one-sided discussions, self-promotion,
self-marketing on social media, strobe lights in theatre, reheated
cafeteria food.

Why am I running?

I have noticed for a long time that the teaching potential in the Faculty
of Art and Design is not fully used. Communication between teachers and
students could — and should — be better. We are also responsible for
creating the atmosphere we want to study in and for the quality of
education we expect.
For example, the print workshops, the textile workshop, and other artistic
workspaces are affected by budget cuts so much that they are hardly usable
anymore. This university should not let that happen. There are not enough
accessible and usable workspaces, especially for art education and fine
arts students. Money goes to other areas, and this harms the quality of
teaching and, in the end, the quality of our work.
I am running for the student council because these issues — and others
— need to be discussed and solved together, within the university
structures. The lack of candidates made me realize I should no longer step
away from this responsibility, but instead see what we can change and
improve.

If you had the choice, which cafeteria meal would you be and why?

I prefer coffee and one piece of fruit.
