Student Council (StuRa)
The students at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar are represented by the Student Coucil (StuRa). The Student Council (StuRa) consists of seven members who are elected by the students of the HfM for one year at the end of the summer semester.
During the lecture period, our meetings take place every Thursday from 2:30 p.m. in M18 (upper floor). The meetings are open to all students of the HfM and attendance is expressly encouraged. You can (but do not have to) register beforehand via stura(at)hfm-weimar.de
Current news from the StuRa can be found at https://www.instagram.com/sturahfm/ and in our regular newsletter (Toilet paper).
You can find the latest minutes at https://moodledok.hfm-weimar.de/
The StuRa is divided into different departments, each headed by one member. Some of these departments are supported by working groups in which all students can get involved, among others the AG Awareness.
Mission Statement
In the summer semester of 2025, the Student Council – in collaboration with the Student Assembly (Studierendenkonzil) – has developed a Mission Statement that reflects the core values and guiding principles of the students at our university.
The mission statement defines what we stand for as a student community: openness, diversity, solidarity and active participation

Code of Conduct
Alongside the mission statement, the StuRa has given itself a Code of Conduct that provides a clear framework for respectful, appreciative, and responsible interaction – both within the council and in all our public engagement.
Together, we aim to foster a campus culture rooted in mutual respect, support, and democratic collaboration.
